The legendary film that has brought many to the intriguing aspect of bitter love and drugs because between the two they’re both addicting. Each ounce that Tony Montana played by Al Pacino has destroyed his life, but in a man on the chase for a woman, money and respect he sees no reason to stop because he is indestructible. Reasoning why as viewers we enjoy such a story line, to feel rich and powerful without recognizing the consequences that follow. Since in an ordinary life where one works a 9 to 5 job there is no time for screw-ups, but for Montana he had as many screw-ups in the film as he wanted. Palma’s scenes include the party life aspects of course, showing appealing women, bumping music, and casualty of sniffing a line or ten. The true irony is that, after many screw-ups the ones who love you the most tend to push you away and not because of failure, but due to the stubbornness to not become a better person which is exactly why Montana was left alone on his throne in the ending scenes. Surrounded by nothingness because he kept pushing people out of his life one by one until it was too late, a real tragedy.
